Hammons Roasted American Black Walnut Oil
The world is awash in walnut oil, but BLACK walnut oil is another matter entirely. The ultimate walnut flavor resides in rich native black walnuts and here is the fabulous oil laden with it. On winter salads or even drizzled over pasta, you’ll scoff at other walnut oils after using this one.
I just can’t look at a bottle of this wonderful Black Walnut Oil and English Walnut Oil blend without tasting the crunch of my favorite winter salad of greens like arugula, butter lettuce and/or endive, blue cheese, fuyu persimmons or pears, black walnuts and a simple vinaigrette blend of this black walnut oil and a younger balsamic or raspberry vinegar.
This oil can be used in many other ways. It is extremely good poured as a finishing oil over pasta or used in combination with olive oil and black walnuts for a particularly rich pesto.
